Had this since new and very well looked after. Opticoat and tinting from new. Selling for a SUV and wanting radar cruise control otherwise really happy with the car. Low mileage too at 19,200kms and...
Just a quick update.....Took the car into Jax (closest Pirelli dealer) and they reckon the noise is from the tyre. Saying that, they also think it's got some mild bumps which I couldn't feel and is...
Not sure if wear and tear after 3500kms could be used as an argument. Alignment been checked too and been ruled out.
Update, put the front left wheel to the back and guess what, the sound has moved to the back but it's a little softer probably due to being further away? Still hums at the same speed. VW might...
Gonna rotate the wheels tomorrow so fingers crossed. Was thinking of putting it in the left rear side as it's further away in case VW decide not to fix it :(
Always pump 38 and check it every fortnight. Will goto the dealer where I bought my car to compare next week
If it were tyre noise, how come it only started 1000kms ago? My car was brand new and now has about 3500 kms on it. Also shouldn't all 4 tyres make the noise then? And if it's only the one tyre,...
They said they were going to but was too frustrated to think straight and ask when I picked it up

Took the car in yeaterday. Mechanic heard the sound during test drive. Spent a few hours in the workshop and they said it wasn't the bearings but they think it's tyre noise!! Is that even possible...
Had a MK5 jetta turbo and traded it in for an A4. Regret that decision to this day so much so I'm thinking of trading in the audi for the current jetta :) They're great cars and are amazing value!
CCAMO, I've given up on Audi and am unlikely to own another one of their cars again. Unfortunately i'm on a lease and will be costly for me to get out off but it's at the point that I might be happy...
After driving it this weekend, hums still there and reproducible under same conditions. I reckon it's something that's connected to the wheel that's loose and vibrates at those speeds. Also with the...
nat225, haven't hit any major potholes that I know of. Steering doesn't vibrate at highway speeds. I know what u mean about potholes vs 19' as I got 19's too on my a4 and no marks to this day 2.5...
Bought a new GTI P recently and been an awesome car. However, noticed a hum coming from the left front wheel are which only happens at certain speed ranges. Hum starts as the car approaches 50km/h...
I meant 38
Brad, yea wheel alignment done prior to service to see if that would fix it. Also air pressures always 48 and equal. Tyres are from new but only has 25,000 kms on them and worn evenly and not due to...
Taken to Audi Brisbane twice and told car is normal! Pisses me off really
Didn't notice it in it's 1st year but I was also driving more on the highway due to a different workplace. Haven't modified the car at all too. My old Jetta with coilers and 18's never had this issue...
I have tried trouble shooting and I think turning off the Electronic Stability Control helps a little bit and steering feels stiffer so it would just 'ride' the bumps if you know what I mean. It...
Have had my A4 for over 2 years now and have come to dislike driving the car due to it's steering and handling. I'm not sure what the best way to describe it but car drives fine on a new flat road....
Anyone in Brisbane with a VCDS that can help me turn down my soundaktor? I'm on the north side at alderley but happy to drive to you. Cheers!
