The 135i Coupe can still be had, the same N55 engine & with BMW PPK the same performance without elephant man looks.
Usually dealers like to move their stock asap, so I can't imagine the holdup. My previous new car landed in QLD but was transported to Syd within two weeks. I dare say it may be at the repair shop.
Isn't this the reason why people went with DSG over manual. I remember back in the beginning of the MK5 days this topic was always discussed DSG vs 6MT.

I kinda thought the MK7 GTI & R models would be a quantum leap from the MK6, hence the reason I chose to skip the model run (first time since the MK3!) Now its just a waiting game for the R.

I agree with the leather option thing, but I somehow don't think VW are overly concerned with Aust rocco market at this stage of it's run, I think they are treated it similar to the MK5 GTI Pirelli.

MK5 with 60K on the clock and in need of a timing chain is rare. It just may be one of things, but unfortunately it's an expensive one.
