T5 2007 Multivan Highline - transmission change abrupt
At low acceleration the auto transmission change from 1-2, 2-3 is abrupt, under more load there is no issue. Any thoughts about what is causing this? I wonder if it's a vacuum hose leak.

On that topic of auto transmission, after tightening the top and bottom exhaust manifold nuts on the passenger side, the transmission changes are smoother.
Exhaust manifold passenger side was loose above and below. Went for a short drive and didn't notice any fumes or warning lights. Haven't checked manifold to turbo yet... I'll do that if the issue...
Based on the years of manufacture in the Workshop manual on Manualzz, it's going to take me a little longer to decipher these variations. :rolleyes:

It's becoming almost constant, reversing is worse, not so bad when standing behind with the engine running.
Thanks Scott, I was going to look around for leaks first before doing anything. The issues are somewhat intermittent so a seal above the oxygen sensor is my expectation. I still have trade tools...
