If it’s around 2000rpm it’s likely fuel line rattle. There is a service bulletin for it - dealer should fix. Google will help too

Depends how handy you are., but yes it can be done with the muffler on the car, no need to remove.
- Need the nuts to hold the motors on
- APR / Switchpath wiring
- 12V Socket Plug
Run the...
FYI if you manually open them they should stay open. There is enough space to reach up once the muffler is installed if you did want to close them. I found mine droned at certain RPM so I closed with...
Certainly recommend the downpipe, intake and intercooler not required.
Spectune did mine (via Eurospec Tuning in Perth). Have been running for 2 years now with no issues.
Yes they fit.
I have mk7 Golf R springs in mine and it is fine.
I do have EMD Reverse Rake pads in the rear to make it a little higher as I do the occasional family trip loaded up.
Lots of talk...
I think the VIN matching to TCU during build is a BS story the dealership made up as an excuse, especially after you putting a bit of pressure on yours magically appears now after you were just last...
Definitely recommend doing the 'Pump Motor' (purges pump) + resetting adaptation values via OBD11 / VCDS after changing the fluid - especially if the filter has been clogged up.
Lots of forum...
Yes Mechatronics
Yes.
I fitted the DBA pads and had issues with them not fitting properly (few mm too small).
Yes - common traits of a mechatronics issue unable to select certain gears. If you get not luck, go to another dealership if possible.
That link is for first gen tiguan
Have you looked here?
Tiguan MKII Workshop Manuals
AWE Switchpath or APR work with some minor wiring modification
T3 rotors do the same thing on mine, although not as bad. I did notice the same thing with the stock rotors when using a wheel cleaner. As above, drive round the block and heat up the disks to dry as...
Easily done with 1 person on jack stands.
Some bits are just a bit fiddly counter holding on the end links, and also twisting the bar in / out of the car.
Check this out Rear Sway Bar and Link...
I've done it at home, if it's on a hoist it definitely shouldn't be anymore than 1 hour.
Suggest you checkout Tarmac Engineering (Spectune)
He has done mine (remotely as I'm in WA) through Eurospec Automotion, and I believe a few others here.
Also - intercooler not 100% necessary. Do...
Take it to the dealer with video footage
I have an ECS hose bought second hand that was on a Golf R - fits fine
I’ve got an ECS Tuning one that I bought second hand that was previously fitted to a golf, fits fine
Mechatronics will need to be replaced. Likely a bit of a wait as I don't think there are any in Aus at the moment (check out Tiguan Group on Facebook).
And yes it is a relatively well known issue...
I personally wouldn't do the res delete as it can/will drone. Go for the muffler first and see what you think.
Going to be personal taste at the end of the day, best to try and hear in person if...
Yep pretty standard response. You can try taking it to a different dealership and see what they say? At least you have it on record that it’s been checked should it get worse.
You can then either...
I would guess clutch packs from my experience, but hard to tell. Are you taking it to VW?
Change from 1st->2nd or 2nd->1st is notoriously 'clunky', so I daresay VW will say it is 'normal'.
