Tried in mine, even after enabling the adaptions for the wireless CarPlay/Android Auto it fails. Best guess is our hardware or at least firmware of the MIB2 doesn't support it. Apparently MIB3 does.

Mine doesn't lock if the fob is in the car. You can disable that 'safety' feature in OBD 11. Maybe you've done that?

Basically all I've been able to do in the way of OBD 11 tweaks is change the colour of the needles.

It's more than likely just your air con. As long as it doesn't have any colour to it, don't worry.
