I have maps 8333 which I believe is V9 and one of the last available?
But the SW version is only 3970, is there any real advantage of flashing the 5xxx and risking possible issues?
We do find...
Yes you do, but there are hardly any checks at Hotham.
I'm sure so many people go up without any chains being carried most days!
Yes, with the rear seats folded down they fit ok just make sure they are secure as the tyres can mark the interior easily.
This is what I have done, but the other way around!
I've got a MK1 Tiguan and have upgraded to the MK2 18" wheels for summer etc, but for winter months I'm using the original 16" which will take...
That would be fine, as long as one pair of wheels have the required diamond chains.
I dont think you would need more than the diamond chains though?
Has anyone purchased those FIT MY CAR...
Very nice DBBM!

Thanks mate might have to drive down!
Agreed, however I'm surprised this was not attended too earlier!
Just spoke to two VW dealerships and both said they dont know of any such update, or any such issue.
They want to see the car,...
Tigger73,
Yes but I thought it would have been done a long time ago as per service schedule?
It's always been serviced at VW here, same place it was purchased.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but just purchased a 132 TSI with this gearbox and immediately noticed the vibration, exactly as described here.
Also did find that it was fixed via software update...
The car has an annoying vibration when cruising and gently touching the accelerator.
It only does it at around 30 to 60kph and when its in high gear and RPM is about 900 to 1200 give or take.

Had it checked Volks repair in Essendon and they said all good after road test.

Thanks for the advice.
Called the dealer who has serviced it from day one and up until the last service.

Hello!
We just got a 2012 132TSI Pacific 4Motion and are waiting to pick it up in a few days.
The price was under 10K, with above average mileage of 167K.
Drove the car for a few minutes 3...
Awesome advice mate, thanks for that.
Really tempted by the R36 as they can be had for approx 12 to 14k with ok mileage of 160ish. However with the current petrol prices might have to skip that...
Thanks for the advice guys.
Car is fixed and I'll be picking it up on Monday.
What's the warranty on the repairs?
I'm a bit worried but not sure what other car around the 8 to 10k I'd find...
Good news, VW have agreed to cover the repair costs in full! Very happy to as the least!
Just got the call from dealer and was quoted $33xx for the mechatronics unit...
He said they would speak with VW customer care.
It's back at the VW dealer who repaired the engine.
Waiting on diagnosis but have since found that the mechatronics unit in these 7 Speed gearboxes was recalled... I believe it should have been...
So just 2 months and approx 5000 KM's after getting my car back with rebuilt engine the gearbox blew.... just heard a loud poping sound and lost all drive. The P R N D gear letters are flashing on...
