Little bit late to the party... But I just had to say, bloody ripper job getting to the bottom of that
I actually saw it on diyma a while back, and was quite unimpressed at the general...
Yes please :cookie:
There's not a whole lot of info out there for 362/365 Passats, and anything BWS would be the icing on the cake.
I checked out your g-photos album, would love to get some...
Little update here for those of you sporting a 3.6 V6 FSI diesel
Whilst the upper chain tensioner definitely did make the motor quieter, since then a slightly different rattle was starting...
This here is the one I ordered, not OEM but made in Germany and certainly looked the part. Still rattle-free 5 weeks later on hot start too.
There's really nothing to it, just remove the airbox and the intake hose to the throttle body, and it's the big 27mm bolt hanging off the back of the cylinder head pretty much under the throttle body...
So I did a fair bit of research on my car before buying it, and was aware of many earlier V6s needing to have the chains done for various reasons... But my research (pretty sure it was this forum)...
that's really top notch work there, and I remember reading that retrofit thread before I bought my Passat early 2018, i was shopping for something with AWD, reasonable performance and room...
I printed it myself. Pretty sure I did it at 100% infill, each side used about 3/4 of a roll each, so about $15 a side using factory seconds filament from a local manufacturer. Lower infill doesn't...
That looks a bit like an easily removable tablet to me, even if it isn't. Would be a shame for somebody to have a crack! I suppose lots of cars have what looks like a tablet sitting on the dash...
Although it looks like it's fouling, it just doesn't make any contact with the window reg clips, and it's shown in the worst case scenario, with the window all the way down, which is rare other than...

Not dynaudio, but something exquisite I had laying around with some 3d printed adaptors that have survived thru 2 and a bit summers in a black car....
I was kinda hoping you wouldn't ask that 🤭 but fair enough

As I said, setup is in the prototype stage, and especially shameful for somebody who just happens to be an electrician...
That's a cracker of a driver there, and not bad getting 40+ litres in a stealthy enclosure! Clearly you've put a fair amount of effort In to get this far, and easily enough coin to show you're not...
Aye, 'tis the work of a true craftsman right there! Any idea what the internal volume is on the enclosure? A "woofer tester" is handy for fine tuning an enclosure, tho if it's sealed, it's hard to...
Couldn't help myself and had a little look into what might be going on on in Dyn DSP, and saw this page:

It's...
Considering what you have now is widely regarded as having quite good sound, I'd be very cautious about taking any backwards steps.
I'm not aware of anything built into any kind of aftermarket...
I'll start by apologizing if this is already common knowledge, but I couldn't find anything about it here, on other vw forums or on Google.
So we all know it's a pain getting an aftermarket amp or...
Hi folks
I've spent the last 18 months or so tossing up my next car, and every road I went down led to the Passat... And I'm happy to say it turns out to be an even better car than I hoped ...
