Thanks for the reply @Lucas_R, took me a fiddly 5min but I've pulled it out. I'd much rather flush coolant every two years, than drive around with this thing in the coolant tank. :thumb:

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone here has heard about the silica bags inside the coolant tanks causing issues?
I'm on a couple B8 Passat groups on Facebook and it seems a few people have had...
As others have suggested, been running 245/40R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 5's on my stock 206tsi wheels with no issues for over 12 months now. Went with a 245/40 as they're a very common size compared to...
Turning off that silly undertaking feature was the first thing I did with mine, easily done with the OBDeleven.
Nice, I had my drivers side replaced under warranty, but now my passenger side has gone and the car's out of warranty. Cheers for the part numbers I'll grab the part and replace it myself. I've been...
All good, I'll wait for some more stock. 👍
Cheers for this, I saw them a few months back but lost interest as they were very expensive at the time. Which ones did you order from that Amazon link? Looks like we need the ones to suit:
VW...
The sunroof has 4 drain holes (2 front, 2 rear) you can clean them out by running some hot water down them and a cleaning line/brush. It sounds like your front drain pipe might be partially blocked....
Posted in the last page.
Had my service done earlier today, got them to change plugs too as they recommended doing them at 45k. Came to $970.

Funny you say this, I'm almost in exactly the same situation, my 206tsi is due for it's 4th service in the next couple weeks and it's sitting on 37k km. I get mine serviced at Underground Performance...
Bit of a thread revive since I just recently changed my cabin filter.
I found Amazon Australia to be a great source for Mahle filters if you're a prime member as Amazon AU will ship the items for...
I added the station logos, the pervious owner got all his cars serviced at Underground. Either way I'm stoked with it. :D
Yeah sorry guys, I just checked the build sticker on the door and it says August 2017, it was complied in November 2017 but is an MY18. I put a deposit on it two days after it went up on Carsales, at...
Picked it up yesterday. Drove it for a few hours today, lovely car to drive and goes bloody hard.

He had a Jetski on a trailer, said he got the towbar so he can tow that too and from the beach.
Thanks for the info mate, I ended up putting a deposit on it last night. I didn't think to ask him about whether it used oil or not, I wouldn't have expected an honest answer if it did anyway. As for...
Hey guys, the misses and I have been looking at getting a second hand low km Passat/Skoda 206tsi wagon over the last few months. This Passat popped up for sale a couple days back, had a look at it...
Yeah that's how much they sting you. I watched the dashcam footage of my first service, they checked the lights and horn was working and changed the oil/filter... that's it... $425 worth...
Sounds great, any idea what the front and rear part numbers were?
So tempted.
Yeah, go the newer 1.8t Polo GTI if you need to get a Polo. If you are looking to buy new and aren't in a hurry, I'd be waiting for the 2018 Fiesta ST.
Another option you can also look at is a Renault Clio RS 200 Sport, they're auto only, drive great and are getting near that price second hand.
Something like this.

Personally i'd get a Fiesta ST over the older 6R GTI, they're much more fun to drive, cheaper to run and imo would be far more reliable. There were heaps of issues with the 1.4TFSI and DSG in the 6R,...
Oh nice, video time! lol
