No help, but I have exactly the same problem. I had it serviced in February and they couldn't find anything wrong, so I'd be keen to hear if anyone has a solid answer.
Just want to finish by saying the team at Auto Union were great, picked up a couple of things I forgot to mention, and also stayed open a bit later (and picked me up from the station) when trains...
Looked them up and a bit out of the way. I'm booked in with Auto Union tomorrow, see how I go.
Thanks. Just the answer for which I was hoping.
Hello.
Hard to believe it's been a year since I got my VRS, but not hard to believe it still puts a massive smile on my face.
Need to get it serviced and couldn't find a thread with recommended...
I'm about to register my cat in Victoria and I can't find these values - or I bet I have found them, just everyone seems to use different terminology.
Could someone please tell me the Tare weight...
Have done just that. One thing I didn't know was that I can withdraw the claim at any time. So should they find me at fault, I can withdraw the claim and sort it out myself without affecting my...
"tracked down" makes me seem far more competent than I actually am.
My car is parked in a shared, semi-private car park. The damage to the car was distinctive and relatively high up on the front...
Long story, but I managed to track down the person who hit me. Pensioner with no insurance.
Still baffles me that it's legal to drive around in this country without compulsory third party property...
So exactly 3 weeks into ownership and someone's put a nasty dint/gash into the front quarter-panel of the car in a parking lot. Did they leave a note? Did they ****!
It's obv worth fixing, but...
Does anyone have any experience with Tint Professor? They quoted me a good price to remove and re-tint.
Any other recommendation happily taken under consideration.
Got wheels colour-changed to satin black. I know some people don't like the black on black look, but I am not one of them.
Cosmetically all that's left is lowering it and getting the tint on the...
Very happy new owner of a 2011 MY12 Black Magic RS Liftback.
Is the rear window factory-tinted on a 2011 RS liftback?
Reason I ask is that mine is distractingly blurry and I'm wondering if it's an after-market jobby. During the day it looks like there's a...
Totally de-badged the rear and replaced with a single black textured Skoda badge. Swapped front grille for chromeless, badgeless, black honeycomb grille.
I passed a yellow Lamborghini today. I...
Well I finally remembered to check and, you're right, it is a percentage. At 60kph it's 4km out. I'm not a real fan of having a tail so I'll stick to the GPS readings for now.
Thanks. My last car was a Volvo and it was bang on. Didn't realise this could be a "feature". :)
I drove a lot this weekend and noticed that my speedo is consistently reading 5km over my actual speed - according to my Garmin GPS and two "check your speed" gates.
Has anyone else experienced...
Having spent a day and a half on less than ideal roads in the Otways I think I'll stick with 18s for now. I'd love the look, but we just don't get Autobahn quality over here.
After spending the day driving down the Great Ocean Road and around the Otways can anyone tell me how to wipe this grin off my face?
Apologies for the spurious post, but first weekend of ownership...
I'm not sure buying a spanking new car is sensible either.
Then again, if I wanted to be sensible, I'd have bought a Camry.
@brad: Thanks. That's an excellent list to be getting on with. Never...
I was wondering if there was a (semi) consensus on the best or most bang-for-buck performance upgrades for the MkII. Tune, brakes, DSG tune, anti-away bars, etc.
Cosmetic stuff I'm ok with, but...
Someone on here posted - also can't find it :) - that they were running 19x8.5 ET45 with no problem and I was wondering if the extra 2mm would make a difference.
I'll have more of a look on...
As I mentioned in my intro thread one of the first things I'd like to do is change the rims. Can anyone with any knowledge tell me if 19x8.5 ET43 would fit without any bother?
