Time for the Skoda to move to a new home. I love driving this car, but end of lease and a decision to head overseas for a while in the new year means, it's got to go.It's in excellent condition and...
I'm taking mine to Peerless Auto in Lyndhurst this Friday - 30k service (2nd year), and first one at an independent. Will let you know how it goes. Other places that were recommended is...
Well worth doing for the paint correction alone, and then the opti coat. You'll find the moon white really stands out with a decent paint correction.
It's louder in sports but is active in normal mode too.
Just an update on the road noise - a couple of days ago i changed the soundakator volume to 50% with VCDS/OBD11 and that's made a significant difference to the noise inside the car. I'd dare say...
I activated the TMC (Traffic) Updates, fan speed display on auto, disabled stop/start and reduced the soundaktor volume by 50% <--- this alone makes the money spent on the OBD11 well worth it! (Yes I...
You can order from OBDeleven: Audi, Volkswagen, Seat & Skoda diagnostic system
Mazstar, how long did the unit take to arrive? I ordered mine around the 10th of March, and the tracking link hasn't had any updates since 11/3 when it was first marked as shipped from Lithuania.
Nope. This is from their site:
SUPPORTED MODELS
OBDeleven can be used with any AUDI, VOLKSWAGEN, SEAT or ŠKODA model. Some models until 1996 years need VAG 2X2 adapter.
Yes it can (Pro Version): [V5] ProBoards - Free Forums & Free Message Boards
There are some YouTube videos with demos as well.
Ordered one of these OBDEleven VCDS coding systems last night. It's already been shipped, so will report back once I get it :)
Reviews seem positive.
I followed the same reasoning, and now have some Mk7 ones sitting on the shelf . The Mk7 are a flatter design, and squarer, and don't have the curve towards the bottom of the paddle.
Correct Reza. Quality isn't bad, for the price.
Managed to find some DSG paddle extensions that fit the mk3 from eBay:

Hi guys,
My first service is due - just wondering if there's any real benefit in going to the dealer for servicing, as opposed to a VW/Skoda specialist? Appreciate everyone's thoughts/comments on...
I have the P zero's on the 19's. As others have mentioned, they aren't great, and I find them quite noisy, combined with the NVH on the Octavia, it can be irritating on long drives. I'll be...
My RS is due for its first service in a couple of weeks and was thinking of going to Eastside as Richmond is a bit of hike after work moved to Dandy South. Has anyone had any experience with...
I'm a couple of suburbs away from Bayswater. the only problem is i need the car most weekends until 2nd week of september due to the kids soccer on saturdays. After that I could live without it for...
Depending on where they are based and how long they need the car for, I'm happy to help. I'm based in the SE Suburbs.
I'm keen & happy to wait for the 20% sale.
I need to get my vRS tinted as well. Rob isn't too keen on the VW's (or Volvos, when I asked about my XC90). If there's a few Melbourne-ites that want to get their Octi's tinted, we might be able...
Yeah I find anything below 38 too low. Sticker says 39/39. Most of the time it's just me and the 3 kids. Lots of road work going on around here though so I found 40+ a bit harsh.

Yep, I'm running 38F 37R. The dealer always drops it down to 34/33 when it goes in for anything.. too low for 19's IMO.
I have the 19" on mine, and while it looks good, I hit a fairly shallow pothole a couple of weeks after delivery and damaged two tyres. I think the 18" with the higher profile would've had a bit...
