ah i picked up the same one back in feb for about 135
i tried an aliexpress unit back in 2016 or so for around 60aud, had pickup problems down at the 1/4 from empty mark and would just cut power
did the same recently JustCruisn, did you go with an oem replacement?
another option if you're inclined is the ttrs pressure plate, tdi clutch disk, and oem dmf
you can check out more details over here
are you talking about the 06F121132H? if so just buy the replacement part, mine came with the oring
my own ended up having a cracked flange which completely came apart after i'd pulled off the hose...
not sure but i just changed my cam chain and noticed there wasn't a brass link on the new chain, everything went back together fine without any noticeable problems
mind you i was using aftermarket...
yep i'd considered the oem ones, wasn't sure it would matter too much since i wanted to fill it with urethane anyway
^same i've been on the bluefin stage2 since 2016, hit them up recently for some troubleshooting and realised they'd changed hands and refused to help unless i paid them again for a 'new tune'...
anyone with an upgraded mount want to get rid of their old one?
decided i'll probably keep my mk5 and run it into the ground, decided to step up to the 034 stage2+ tune
miles ahead of the bluefin stage2 i was running previously
waterpump started leaking just before christmas, decided it was time to address the other coolant and oil leak i've been having for the last 18 months and it was time for the second timing belt...
kept getting the p0441 on my mk5 gti, seemed to have fixed it by replacing my bosch n80 valve and evap canister thing
after you clear the codes, does it take long for them to come back? chipped at...
bad go mate, I did have a similar issue when I first got my replacement steering lock
tried to turn it with a screw driver and it locked up like my original one
I ended up disassembling everything...
yeah mine didn't line up perfectly, I had to back it off a little bit behind the dot
if you shine a light you can see when it becomes a cavity to shove the paperclip into
use a big paperclip if...
little update, drilled 2 holes on the plastic surround that holds in the stalks and just chiseled out the shear screws with a flathead
installed the new steering lock unit with new m8x20 hex head...
graphite powder works well for lubricating things like key barrels without gumming stuff up
update, the steering lock finally did make it but it was jammed out of the box in a similar fashion to...
nah my lock cylinder was fine, it was the steering lock portion that was jammed up(couldn't be turned with a screw driver)
I'll be popping on the lock cylinder to the new unit once it's here to test...
same thing happened to my mk5 last week, can't tell what exactly broke

chasing a set of eibach sportline springs for a mk5 gti, had some a few years ago and it never felt right with koni yellows but keen to pair them with bilstein b8’s

got one here pulled off an '06 gti, $80
the joints themselves weren't really my problem, it was the lack of rubber isolation where the mounts meet the strut tops
made the noise on rough roads much worse I.e. crossing railway tracks, just...
installed some weather shields

i've only see strut top mounts with rose joints since the angle of the strut needs to change when you change the camber, all super noisy from my experience
hit up superchips to add a crackle profile to my stage2 tune, waiting to load it when I have some time in the next couple days :)
timing chain tensioner? located under the rocker cover on the opposite side of the timing belt
