Just installed the GFB DV+, it is a piston type DV. Car is feeling healthy again and the flutter is gone. The DV+ is noticeably quieter than the APR R1.
No lifetime warranty on the APR R1.
Had the car checked. Diverter valve faulter. I'll be picking up a GFB DV+
Love the seats. If you haven't already purchased headlights then I can vouch for Hella Celis ones.
Hi guys. The sound from my '03 GTI's DV has changed from the normal psssh sound to a flutter (like in this video), so I'm guessing the APR R1 DV has given up and needs replacing. I've done a bit of...
I tried a few years ago in Hobart but there was no solid interest. Only had Stephy come down all the way from Launceston but no one else from Hobart. We had a good drive down around Cygnet and back...
Mmm Volk! Keep Hella Celis in mind for headlights. Great quality and looks :)
I really need to get mine dyno'd to see what it's making. I love my BMC CDA for cold air induction, sounds fantastic. Also get a powergasket+, you can place your hand straight on the intake...
Macca's is always a good start :P
Those prices aren't for OEM turbos (KKK). You can buy my spare K03 if yours packs it in :P But if I were you I'd get out early and buy a Mk5.
15mm lower I thought. Get H&R sports springs (35mm drop) or Eibach Prokit (30mm drop). I've got the Eibach and the car is still plenty high enough to look standard.
You either use new drop links on the stock swaybar OR buy a new swaybar (ie Eibach, H&R, Neuspeed etc) which have extra clearance built in to clear the driveshafts on lowered cars.
I was thinking exactly the same thing with my GTI the other day rob... More to do with my alloy interior trims and headlights as much as I love them :( Still undecided...
Hey, great to see another Mk4 member in Tassie . Very nice! Will keep an eye out when I'm in Launceston :)
From memory I took the bumper and light out as well. But I don't remember it being overly complicated after that. Just alot of bending and skinning knuckles getting that plastic piece out as one...
If I could do it again I'd get a mk5 gti and get the same power for a lot less hassle...
That's alright. I'll come and see it when I'm back in Launie!
Yes... :cookie:
I don't have facebook, I demand you upload the vid here!!!!!!!!! :D
Hang on we've covered this before. It's not the Bora 4Motion valance you need, as I don't think it's a direct fit. It's the Golf 4Motion valance you need that has the cut outs. We didn't get the...
Will keep an eye out for you. Shouldn't be to hard to spot with those wheels! :D
That is what they say, yes...
Yeah the Philips Xtreme are going good in my Hella Celis headlights. Powerbulbs are awesome too, bought off them a few times now.
I'd grab a Billy Boat from ECS or a Miltek from the UK if I was doing it again. Love the sound of my APR system though
