So I have the blade from my 2015 A3.

I have tried swapping it to another FOB but it locks the car up. Apparently only authorized guys can encode the used key?

The key works only in the remote...

I need a new spare key (it was water damaged (so I needed a new chip)) but somehow it's gone missing so I'll need a whole new key.

Sorry, but I think you've got your info mixed up as I mentioned the car went up in value. Dealers were later on selling them for $67k~ (Demo stock ect).

For what ever reason when they first came out I thought they were around $57k - The dollar was also much better then. I know there was price rise of $1.5k when the dollar dropped.

I guess the thread also applies to MY16 Golf R owners as well :P was mostly just seeing what people were doing to their wagons as I can't seem much being done apart from boot liners...
