To be honest, it doesn't need it. The pump is set up reasonably well, with a whisp of smoke under load and 5lt per 100. The power is there when needed.. I think Hamza was a little surprised how well...

It's a 1Z.. Im a Diesel Mechanic, and the easiest way to make the TDi work in the older car is to fit the AAZ mechanical fuel pump. Pump has to run one tooth advanced.

It does. Trouble is I now have a works vehicle, along with a Land Rover 101, so the Golf just sits. I'd rather it was being used by someone who loves them!
