Very interesting, and (sort of) glad to hear this.
A couple of times now I have been driving and the car gearbox has gone a bit weird, alternating between D5 / 6 (at or accelerating to...
Thanks. The Tour d'Perth was on at the same time as the Vets Nationals - where I was competing. Strange timing, but there you have it.
Thanks.
I learnt a lot, and PB'd track and road TT's in Perth, so the last couple of events in WA were definitely the most memorable.
Wow you have lots of time in the day :-)
Ah I see. Yeah the things that did not fit did not come on the trip.
For a recent trip I bought a Garmin - it has bluetooth and connects with the phone no probs. Instant handsfree.
As I wrote, everything fitted in the car - no bikes on the roof. I am curious how the economy will go later next year when I do start driving with bikes on the roof.
For me, at least.
I just got back from 8 weeks on the road, visiting Canberra, Sydney, back to Victoria (home state) then driving across the Nullarbor in my 2009 Octavia Elegance TDi auto wagon....
I'll give this a go, thanks, but do not remember seeing an "Eco" button :-/
I find the fan very annoying - hit the + button, hoping for 1 level of fan (from OFF) and it goes nuts, full bore. Is there any way of preventing this behaviour? I do not have the AUTO climate...
Heh nod, I did the same search and came up with nada useful, so I thought I'd ask ;-)
Thanks heaps, good advice taking the old one in - will do that for sure.
Hi there.
I have a video camera I wanted to run out of the 12 volt outlet in the boot of my Octavia Wagon. Plugged in the cord and there was a slight flash (? spark) but the led light in the cord...
What is this E-MFA add on and how do you install it??
Was training with a mate on Yarra Bvd Sunday afternoon when a yellow RS wagon drove past and stopped at the lights onto Swan St. "That's very yellow", my mate said as it drove past. Yeah, I thought....
Left for Montrose today (from Richmond) and the car said range : 410km. Got to Montrose and it said range: 450km. Still said 440km when I got home. Averaged 6.4l/100km for the trip to Montrose and...
My bro-in-law was really worried for me re: resale on the Skoda, which I found confusing - I'm buying it to drive and use it, not resell it. Yeah maybe I am naive, but at the moment I cannot imagine...
I like the wheels - would love to upgrade to them down the track. What's the go there - should I seek third party or go back to a Skoda dealer?
Would be interested to hear what you found appealing in your experience with Preston. I have only bought 3 cars in my entire life, so I have limited comparable experiences.
What makes a good...
Kicked tyres at Richmond, seemd nice enough. Found Preston woeful, and will be filling in the customer satisfaction survey to that extent. Come to think of it, not sure why I didn't try to get...
What is the point of having an email address on a website if you're not going to respond to it.
Having dealt with more sales people in the past 2 months than you could shake an oily dipstick at,...
Amazing. Same experience at Preston Skoda. Asked to test drive an RS wagon and was told they would try and get it in but a salesman had it. Turned up on the day and apparently the salesman had taken...
I am really enjoying this very new TDI wagon, it's great to drive, and I am still finding little bits and pieces I did not notice before. :D
Rather than upgrade the car, I am intending to keep it,...
Having just bought a TDI Octavia, I am loving the car, but finding some aspects of the dealership experience lacking. Is there a dealership venting thread? ;-)
