Welcome A/C,
In an ideal world allow 7 days from VIN allocation to production......14 days after production for shipping from Portugal to Bremerhaven.....45 + - days for shipping to...
Hi AJWood, welcome to VWwatercooled Australia.
We are a friendy bunch here, so let us know if your parents were thoughtful and gave you a first name. If not it'll be fine and we'll use AJWood. ...
Wow Fred, that colour combination is a head turner. Imagine it would be a treat in real life. Now you'll just have to tear yourself away from the steering wheel for a couple of minutes and let us...
Congrats....it's a pain surviving the wait...."the longest hour is just before the dawn".
Dealer had top down for our handover.....it's a convertible :)
Peter
Fred, it's nice to have you with us at VWwA. :)
White with red nappa interior sounds like an outstanding combination. When are you expecting delivery? We'll give you a couple of hours after...

Young fella had a bit of a moment with a stationary tree. Damaged front drivers door with smashed window. Doesn't look like it'll buff out
Anyone know where i can buy a full door.
Peter
Good idea, must do that today....had asked dealer on handover if tyre pressures were right.....he said yes. Orchestra only seems to start up when driving over that really coarse chipped old surface....
Paid $83.96 (that's Queensland dollars though ) for 30mls on the 16th July 2007. If $155.00 (is that Mexican currency coming into play ?) is what they're charging at your dealership, i could save...
It's a Dupont product Krytox GPL 105 (? most likely) sold under VW part G 052 172 A1. Is specified as rubber seal lube for Eos convertible, but can be used a general fix it for any like situation.
...
Enjoying the Eos so far. At this point in time it's the only free roaming Eos in the village. Two are held in captivity at the dealers...Wheat Beige and a Paprika Red.
Bit of a shock the first...
Has anyone installed one of these, and with what results?
Peter
Good point re support. Ironic that a UK based manufacturer can give remote support to a Aussie install. That's the best part about this Bluefin program, doesn't matter who or where you buy it from,...
Was going to take some pictures but couldn't find where to plug the USB port in my Box Brownie.
Leigh's pics are as good as any i've seen and as it's so close to his Eos it wouldn't look any...
I'am a happy little Aussie...driving not dreaming now. 1500kms so far.
The Eos was a complete surprise for my wife Lin. Dealer was happy to assist.
She thought we were buying the "new" Honda...
Congrats.
Not long for you now. I found the day of delivery was the hardest of all.
Cheers Peter
Bluefin chip for a TDI from Aussie supplier is $1499.00. Looks like you bought well at $1261.09.....saved an impressive 19%. :)
Thinking about doing the same myself. :D
Cheers
Peter
BTW 5.1 L/100km is approx = 55.3884189 miles/gallon(UK)
You would have to be happy with that! :)
Peter
Dealer rang late Friday to say car is onsite going through PDI and will be delivered to me Tuesday. :)
Hope you can expect yours to be around the same time.
Peter
My VW was delivered and discharged on the same dates as yours. Would love to say i have mine.......but.....dealer said he still hasn't received car from out of Brisbane. Sounds like they have a full...
What range of quotes did you get back from your insurance companys re the Eos.
Imagine it would be an expensive repair bill to be rear ended with the roof folded in the boot.
Peter
After seeing photos of all the combinations of external and internal colours in the Eos, there is not a dud one amongst them.
IMHO the Eos looks sharp in any combination. Always amused to see a...
