To the tuning gurus here, supposing I’m finding the gearbox a tad slow in kick down around town, would getting a Stage 1 tune improve drivability? I drive like a grandma, so not interested in high...
Ok, so instead of pushing the button, you simply pull the tailgate down like you would in a manual one?
Hi, is there a way to manually close the power tailgate? Say you are carrying a large item sticking out the back?
Cheers
When you refer to gearbox, you mean the bevel box? So you’re had three replaced.
I’m still investigating the vibration issue in the drivetrain of my Tig. Yesterday they found a leaking bevel box,...
Maybe that's how it is...
John Hughes.
Hmm...not sure how. I have now done 7500kms and the vibration is still there but not as strong. Car is going in for its first service, so will mention it again (different dealer) and see if they...
Thanks Philsan, the only issue is they can deal with warranty issues or recalls. Perhaps in between service?
Hi guys
My Tiguan 162 is due for its first service. Can anyone suggest which of the Perth dealers I should take it to? From experience, they are all a bit average.....
Many thanks.
You actually don't need to be booting it. Just firm acceleration esp on an incline, which is when most obvious. Definitely a vibration from somewhere. Like I mentioned before, it is like driving...
Good thinking, but this dealer’s sales division is away from the service center, so no new cars there.
Could it be the tyres? I've got Pirellis.....
Hi, I meant to post an update earlier. As usual, the dealer did not find anything unusual. Perhaps that’s how they are....
The vibration is obvious more so accelerating slight uphill. I’m quite an...
It is quite possible that it is felt through the seat as well. If it is a normal thing, then everyone here would have reported the same. Anyway, car booked in next Wed. Will let you know. Thank you...
I thought it may be something to do with Haldex, but I have not tweak or touched anything. Besides the vibration the car accelerated as it should.
Hi,
I have 162 Wolfsburg and it has now clicked over 4200kms. The car is smooth and refined driven like an old woman. However on slightly harder acceleration, there's this vibration felt through...
Thanks for the replies. If that's all it is, I'll leave it. Perhaps I'd do an oil change myself at 5000-7500kms.
Hi guys
Just received a letter from the dealer where I purchased my Tiguan, saying to book in for an interim service. Is the first service time based or km based? I'm sure it is 15000kms? I've...
Thank you to both of you. I was thinking of swapping out the Wolfsburg pads to ceramics, then using them for the GTi....... So sounds like they are of different diameter.
Hi guys,
Can someone please confirm that the pads and rotors for the Mk7 GTi (standard) and Tiguan Wolfsburg are NOT interchangeable?
Thank you in advance.
Says the person who wants a sunroof! LOL You can have mine if did have one. Perfectly happy with a cooler car.
I guess if the first oil and filter is 15000kms, then filter ought to be ok. One less thing into the landfill.....
So many Tiguans with broken suspensions.........🤣
I'm still waiting for my email. It's been three weeks.
