Well they say you learn something new everyday! I never knew that menu existed. Thanks, Don - there really is no end to your helpfulness. Cheers.
Thanks for the responses. If I understand correctly, these measures turn off the sensors' beeping in all circumstances?
Just to clarify - what I'd like to do is have the option of turning off...
2018 Mk7.5 Golf GTI. Does anyone know if it is possible to decouple the rear parking sensors from the rear view camera? I need my rear view camera when reversing into my tight garage, but the...
Great find, thanks Lucas. If available, I reckon I'll 100% go that route when the time comes.
No-one wants an immaculate GTI?
I'm looking to see if there is any interest in my Golf GTI. Weighing up whether to sell or keep. Car details below:
June 2018 Golf GTI;
Located in Hobart;
Tornado red;
Manual transmission;...
Yes, I tend to agree. My comment was half in jest. I love my 7.5 and likely will keep it for 10 years, as I did with my mk5 GTI. Or until an affordable and enjoyable EV comes along (looking at you...
That's a great channel. Am working my way through his videos. I particularly like the What Goes Wrong section. Although after viewing that section of the GTI video I'm beginning to entertain...
Wow. Just wow. Made it to the end of the infotainment/driver interface section and gave up. Stuff that VW - I don't give a flying fig what the drive is like if I have to put up with that sh*t-show...
Seriously?! That is ridiculous...as detailed by Sharkie. Yeah, nah....good riddance DQ200.
I doubt VW will miss your sale given they're likely to pick up a heap more because of the switch to...
Agree. Good riddance DQ200. Torque converter auto should be a good match to the little 1.4. Should make for a very smooth drive.
I assume you have checked the tyre pressures after the repair?
This - by a thousand times. Just buy the colour you like best.
Cheers!
Is the point of the increased clamping pressure to minimise clutch slip/wear? If so, do you know if this removes one of the most frequent DQ200 complaints - premature clutch pack replacement?
Cheers. Didn't realise it was a mk6.
Lucas, isn't the 2013 a current single turbo 1.4, rather then the 1.4 twincharger grenade?
Thanks Dutch.
Ha, that pic is a beauty!
Although I'm actually tempted to try some wheel wrap just to see what a black Parker looks like on my tornado red GTI. In general I love black wheels...
Does anyone have pictures of the std 18" 7.5 Parker rims (std) powder coated black or anthracite?
Tried wading through 698 pages for a picture, but gave up!
I should have been clearer. The jolt may be brief axle tramp caused by the S001s lack of traction. I suffered this jolting for a week on my brand new GTI 7.5 before ditching the S001s for PS4. ...
How did this turn out, OP?
Does it have Bridgestone S001 tyres? Utterly appalling traction.
It's not turbo lag, it's throttle mapping. As the pedal box in my 1.4 Trendline proved. If it was turbo lag, the pedal box would not have made such a difference to the response.
Deleted.
