Definitely had rears done with blue also.
It wasn’t easy, from memory we had to drop the sway bar to get at it, but there is a screw fitting.

They should be a straight swap on the back if you have the right HEL parts. I did it on my car, so you can check it out if it’s still in the garage [emoji6] I remember it took us a while to figure...
They’ve arrived and look the goods, just need time to get them in. Hopefully this weekend...

Awesome. Will put the shims in at the same time, these alignments are getting expensive. Might need your help checking the ship numbers again.

Awesome, that’s where it runs most of the time.
Ordered the strut tops, hopefully they fit [emoji2957]

Really? I was planning on going more aggressive, like 3 degree neg camber and 2mm toe out on each side.

Would a set of these help get some camber back in it?

Yeah, unfortunately they are biased towards one side, so need to prioritise either caster or camber.
That was drivers side. This is how they are setup now......
Great thanks. I will try and source those bits and get them in.
I’ve got some shims to go into the rear, they are next on the list. What toe/camber do you suggest?

Hi. My POG is a dedicated track/hillclimb car. Based on Sam’s thread I rotated my front strut tops to prioritise caster over camber. The alignment guy thought that I would be better off going back to...
Not sure yet, haven’t got that far [emoji12] Any recommendations?

No idea what they are worth. The race seat is going to be about $1,000, but I know I won’t get that.
A few hundred?

I’d potentially be keen for an LSD/box and the gear for the belts.

Oh no [emoji26] Glad you’re ok.

Sweet, yeah I eventually found it in your thread. Still road registered for a while, but will be caged eventually so will go on trailer. One of the reasons I got the Amarok, good tow car [emoji16]

The Polo is no longer my daily, so looking to make it into a full time hillclimb car. Keen to remove the passenger seat. What do I need to know/do, especially regarding airbags?

My mechanic recently had to get one from Germany.

Has this gone now?

Nah, they came with the Yellow-Speed Dynamic Pro Sport coilovers.
The foam looks clean, I’ve just got some black race tape on them at the moment. That’s probably how they will stay [emoji12]

Finally ground the strut domes off and got the strut brace installed...
What did you use to cover the remnants of the strut domes? It looks neat. I’m going to attack mine with the angle grinder tomorrow before SDMA on Sunday so I can get at my damper adjustment.

Nice! Looks exactly like mine [emoji3]

My screws fell out as well. I think they go in from the back. I just cable tied it back in [emoji12]
