The service costs in this thread are approximate. Different workshops, especially in the remote areas may have higher running costs. Shop around and consider using independent VW, Skoda, Audi specialist, if you want to save money, but remember that using approved parts is crucial for maintaining your new car warranty.
Service costs (as for the models with TSI engines, the cost of servicing is similar)
1.9TDI – 2.0L TDI with DSG/Auto Golf, Jetta, Passat, Skoda, Tiguan
15,000km or 1 Year (whichever comes first)
Time: 1 hour
Cost: $180 - $260
30,000km or 2 Years (whichever comes first)
Time: 3 hours
Cost: $460 - $620
60,000km or 4 Years (whichever comes first)
Time: 3 hours
Cost: $920-$1100
105000 service - camshaft replacement, wtf?
Hi all, I'm about to get my 105,000 service and the dealer told me it would be over $1000 because they have to replace the camshaft as part of the standard VW service for the jetta. It sounded like crap to me - what's been your experience?
