Project EOS
So, having had my baby for about 18 months now, it's time for me to start thinking about modding her...

The current plan is to get to stage 2+, with a few other handling mods, and, if I win the lotto, do an AWD conversion...
As my Eos is based on the Mk5 Platform, and has the GTI's BWA engine, most parts are plentiful, so that will definitely help.
Step 1. Change the AFM to turbo pipe (wish I could find this one - Samco Silicone Intake Pipe)
Step 2. Upgraded HPFP (Considering APR, IE, CS, AT and VIS, but will probably get the APR as it suits me better)
Step 3. Rear Sway Bar Upgrade (Probably 3C0511409E 21.7mm x 3.6mm from a Passat, but I need to check which I have now)
Step 4. High Flow Filter (Still Paper Style though)
Step 5. Dump Pipe (Probably Empire Performance with 200cel Cat, but possibly APR as it give a discount on stage 2)
Step 5.5. 'Straight' to APR Stage 2+ done at the same time as step 5
Step 6. New Shocks (Probably Bilstein B6's)
Step 7. DO88 Intercooler
Step 8. Front Alloy lower control arms / knuckles (From Passat)
Step 9. AWD Conversion (Mk5 R32, Mk6 Golf R, or Audi Gen2 TT as donor)

HPFP Options...

Good - Stock style retainer, uprated spring (reduces 'bounce' wear), single diameter piston, ~40% more fuel (lower than others, but causes less wear), great support
Bad - Most expensive
Integrated Engineering - IE High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) Upgrade Kit for VW & Audi 2.0T FSI & 4.2L FSI Engines
Good - Single diameter piston
Neutral - Decent quality, 'OK' cost, ~50% more fuel

CorkSport - CORKSPORT MZR DISI MAX Flow Fuel Pump Internals | CorkSport Mazdaspeed HPFP
Good - Stock style retainer, uprated spring
Neutral - Decent quality, 'OK' cost, ~50% more fuel
Bad - Stepped diameter piston, uncommon on VW's
AutoTech - Autotech High Volume Fuel Pump Upgrade Kit early 2.0T FSI + MAZDASPEED 3 6 - MKV (2006-09) - Golf/GTI/Rabbit

Forgot to mention, I have already installed a GFB DV+ Diverter Valve Upgrade Kit.
This is a great bit of gear, and functions significantly better than stock, with the added bonus of being cheaper than a stock unit.
Whilst you do need a stock unit with a working solenoid, my DV had been intermittently sticking open, causing low boost issues, but was still upgradable.

Hmmm, seems like the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit may be the way to go...
Seems to be a similar ride height to what I'm sitting at now on the stock springs.
Need to keep an eye open for them on sale now.

So, here's an interesting one...
I gave my girl an oil and filter change on the weekend, and, it seems that she is now running up to 1/2 a litre per 100 more efficiently...
Old oil / filter was Penrite Enviro+ 5w30 with a Ryco filter.
New oil / filter is Castrol Edge LL 5w30 with a Hengst filter.
Still, very nice to be in the low 7's on the way to work this week, compared to high 7's last week.
And I don't remember that same change last time...

Have you gone Stage 1? If so, how was it?
-
Yes I’ve done stage 1 APR.
Yes it’s better.
Makes it feel much closer to a gti in performance.
Definitely how it should of come.
I want to go stage 2, but the cost is putting me off...
