any way to use CarPlay map plus vw navigation same time

Hi all,
Is there anyway to use CarPlay maps on center screen and have that doing audio directions etc, and have on the dash screen (Dap installed) just a map showing from the inbuilt nav map?

I don't think there is but figured I would ask.

No one has been able to do it, the software doesn't allow it.
Not seen any VCDS settings that would allow it yet

When i had my tiguan for a day (dealer provided a car for a day) i was able to do this.

I thought it was normal

Ah sorry I misread the OP. The infotainment display can show the map but that map cannot be directing you somewhere at the same time as CarPlay/Android Auto sat nav directions

On my Tiguan Allspace I have apple maps on CarPlay providing navigation and directions, and the on my active dash I had the VW map being displayed.

Is that what you were asking about?

That is what I was trying to do. I had apple maps via CarPlay giving directions. And tried to switch to VM maps on the active dash and a message popped up saying that couldn't be done while navigation is happening. Perhaps there is some trick to get it working?

I will try again today as I have a 4 hour drive planned and will test allot of stuff out.

IOS/Carplay doesn't support secondary screens except for Apple Maps.

Wish list: 9 new CarPlay features for iOS 12

I used Android Auto in a Golf R, but it might work with CarPlay too:

I've only just got my Tiggy. Using Android auto with google maps in the centre screen providing route directions, unfortunately I too can't get the inbuilt map onto my DAP.
Android auto aside, is there a way to have both screens (centre and DAP) to display inbuilt nav maps simultaneously?
