12v Power Outlet in Caddy - Always hot? Battery drain?
Hi Guys,
I have a Caddy with an RCD210 with AUX-Input. I just bought a car charger/aux in combo cable for my iPhone and noticed that when the car is powered down and the doors are locked, the charger still shows an LED on. The cable is a Kensington by the way. It splits the iPhone dock connector into a USB and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Here is the product: Kensington - Smartphone - iPhone & iPod - Car Chargers & Mounts - 2-in-1 Car Charger & AUX Audio Cable
There is nothing connected to the dock connector, so I was wondering if it's even possible that it could drain the battery?
On a different note, I find it quite frustrating that the AUX input is located in the 'glove box' which isn't covered at all. I'd much prefer if they put it in the tray below the 1DIN RCD210. Is it easy to relocate this cable? I'm hesitant to pull apart the dash as there are airbags there.
