Control Arm Bushes & Front Wheel Bearings - Good places to buy?
Whilst my car is in peices again in anticipation of receiving a new coilover, I'm looking to replace my control arm bushes and front wheel bearings.
My car felt solid, prior to pulling the hub, knuckle and coilover out but as I looked at the empty space, I couldn't help but notice the rear bush on my control arm is shagged.
Being a big believer of not doing things twice, I thought that there is no better time to do this.
I'm now leaning towards the superpro control arm bush kit for two reasons. 1. Its made in Australia and 2. its stated as being a combination of rubber and urethene. Because of this, I'm hoping its a good combination of heavy duty but not completly harsh. (I do have coilovers, so I'm not after soft and standard)
Q.1 Do you think that this is realistic and is $85 a good price for a kit for both control arms?
With the bearing side of things, I'm not sure if bearings are bearings. I suspect not.
I know I can get some from the UK for $50 a pair delivered but am just skeptical of the cheap price.
Q.2 What are a good brand for front wheel bearings at a reasonable price and where can I get them?
Super cheap, Auto One or somewhere special? How much is a good price?
I'm also curious to learn of new places to buy stuff for my car as the only OS place I've looked is ECS (and their shipping prices are nuts)
Q.3 What other good places are there foreign or domestic?
Thanks heaps and sorry for all the reading I just put you through!!!
Cheers!
