Stoarge compartments

Who uses all the compartments in their Octavia?
I found an iPod in my car this evening that I put in the compartment in front of the gear lever when I got the car then forgot about. That in turn reminded me that there was a compartment on the right side of the dash which had a phone charger in it that I haven't seen for a year or so.
The only compartments I use regularly are the drivers door pocket for my wallet and house keys, the cup holder in the centre for some change and the plug for the GPS when it's not connected and the sun glasses holder in the roof.

What about the storage underneath the passenger seat? Out street directory is just too big and doesn't fit inside it :(

Like you, I use the pocket for wallet and keys. My phone goes where the cup holders are and I use that like compartment in front of the shifter for change

Service books and owners manual. Gets opened once every 15,000km. :)

We use pretty much all of them. The glovebox is stuffed with crap (owners manuals etc - although Kiwi your idea is actually pretty good regarding them). The drivers door pocket is only used by me (as I speak it has my L's booklet/magnetic L-plates, tissues and even my speaking competition speech from about a month ago and you can add my iPhone and wallet when I drive) and the shammy is in the passenger door. The top compartment is great for the TomTom (or whatever one dad has - he buys a new one practically every week...) as the charger cable can be led around the cover and down the left side of the dash into the 12V socket.

The seat pockets literally have around $40 in coins in them so defs steal our car if you're a bit low on $$$ :). The ticket holder on the pillar is great too!

The JumboBox in the centre has small stuff and in summer cans of Coke (you can get two in there!). The bin under the rear airvents is just that, a bin, and the rear door holes aren't used for much unless passengers put their drink bottles in. Storage and practicality is an area where Skoda certainly has Volkswagen covered.

there r so many storage compartments in the octavia, u need a inventory location list or something to that effect!!
otherwise like K1W1, u'll find stuff u forgot all bout, or thought u'd lost!!

I love the storage in the front parts of the car, but the back gets very little use at all.
I like the little storage area on the drivers seat as i always place my house keys in that. The sunglasses one gets a lot of use especially when i give a colleague a lift to work as he has a facination for it. As per K1W1 the passenger seat storage holds the manuals and the glove box is full of the my better hals crap. As i dont carry any CD's around any more the storage is ample and well thought out.

Heck I totally forgot about that one. I put my e-tag in there the day I picked the car up and haven't opened it since.
BTW E-tags work in there perfectly which means no yucky plastic thing stuck to the windscreen.

in my previous car, i had cd cases littered everywhere - glovebox, door pockets, under the seat!!!
but now, thanks to the 20g built-in hdd & sd-card slot, i've got no need for cds and i don't know wat to do with all that free space!!!

i must say thoough, the pen holder in the glovebox is crap/flimsy. i already snapped both ends, and i wasn't putting a great deal of pressure.

Ditto - we put ours in 18 months ago, haven't had to open it once to get to the e-tag, works without a hitch :-)

Right, from memory:
The eTag goes in the top central dash spot.
Middle console holds biro's and fuel dockets, which are usually expired due to super frugal car ;-)
Phone goes in the little spot by the seat side (where I invariably leave it behind and have to go back for five minutes later).
For some reason the bin under the passenger seat has a water bottle (rectangular Nalgene so doesn't roll around) that gets old and stale and tastes vile.
Central spot by the handbrake has wife's sunnies -mine get up top :-D and old parking tickets.
Armrest holds iPod Touch and random bigger stuff.
Doors hold maps and mail I forgot to post, they'll hold a bottle of red quite well too.
Glove box has no gloves: um handbook/service book, BlueAnt charger, phone charger, tissues dunno what else.
Bin to the right of the steering wheel is where our keys to the inlaw's house (well, my inlaws) and their Honda, for when we need it, should be but aren't... Wife's out of town with the Scout leaving me with said borrowed Honda except I don't have the keys. She's looked three times now and we both are quite sure they "somewhere in a bin in the car" so maybe there are too many!

Oh, and my personal fave is the one in the central rear armrest, it's about 15mm deep, not sure what would fit there. Mine's empty.
