Hey guys, just a question; I currently have 2 layers of Zaino Z2 polish over my car, i'm just wanting to know if/how to remove it if i'm wanting to do another cut? I've used the 'Menzerna Final Finish OEM Hi Cut 106FF', but it doesnt seem to provide enough cut (or im not doing it right) as i'm still noticing swirls and whatnot, so i was thinking about getting another polish with a higher cut and trying again.

Use either isopropanol alcohol to spray over a clean surface and buff off, or wash the car with a non pH neutral wash - either something like autoglym powermax 3 or just some strong dishwashing soap if nothing else.
If you wash the car, the way to tell all the wax has come off is if the paintwork doesn't bead water anymore. try not to wash the car in sun or heat as these sorts of washes need extra care not to dry up on the paintwork. If you're going to use isopropanol, have the car clean first and go over it well with the iso. Once you've done it, it should polish up fine - even if there is a little bit of wax left over.

Are you sure they're swirls or is it marring caused by the clothes as you wipe off the polish? Just double check under the lights as you are doing it with the machine or before you cut it again. Sometimes it might just be the cloth. This happens to me a fair bit, and I feel like smashing my head everytime I bring it under the light to check on the final stage!!!Quote:

Basically, what will happen is your cloth will be 99% fine but if there's one SPEC or one edge that just isn't right, it's going to marr and scratch a fresh surface. Just be meticulous about keeping your cloth clean, and fold it into fours (making sure the edges are in your palm rather than out on the paintwork) and you should be right.
