DSG Issue

Hi guys, I am struck again with my DSG issue today when I was leaving office. I had mentioned my earlier experience in another thread in the forum. In short, my DSG, seems to slip the gear automatically, which causes engine to rev up and lose of power! This happened after 3-4 times before, and I took my car to VW dealer. They couldn't find any issue as it happened once in a while and they did a software reset as per VW AU guidelines. The car ran smoothly again until today, when it showed the same problem. I had to pull over from the highway and called VW assist. They arranged a towing service and my car got towed off (for 3rd time -previously I had a brake issue and the same DSG issue)
I called VW customer service and they said this had never happened before. However, I have lodged a formal complaint about this. Now my car is sitting at VW dealer waiting to be fixed! Hope this time they will do it properly.

Now I am not very happy on the 118TSI DSG! If anyone had similar problem let me know.

Maybe this can help-from other forum:
"My transmission was making very rough and clunky gear changes. The noise was quite noticeable in the front passenger side of the car. VW replaced the DSG but I was having problems with that too, the transmission was slipping out of gear into neutral and the clunking rattling noise int he front of the car weas becoming worse. At times the car was blowing clouds of black smoke under acceleration which was not normal at all.

I also had a very loud banging noise underneath the car when accelerating up or down an incline. I don’t know what this was."

Thanks Mirsad. As I mentioned my car is with the dealer and I am waiting to hear from them back. I lost my hopes on getting it fixed. It is very scary especially when driving on inclined roads, like yesterday it just rolled back as it automatically shifted to Neutral. I dont think VW Golf TSI DSG is a safe car to drive (especially mine)

I've heard the clunks near the front when accelerate on an incline about 3 times so far, usually with the A/C on. Feels like no power for a second, sounds like car in the too high gear when driving a manual or something has fallen out. I have to let go of the gas then press again then its all good.

Is this a major problem or the DSG got confuse cycling the gears?

Not sure on this. What I am experiencing is a different story :) The gear slipping (slipping to Neutral) has happened to my car even on the plain surface.

It's not the hill holder is it? that can take a little getting used to. Also, and I may be labouring the obvious, the DSG is in fact a manual. I found I can't get lazy and shift from R to D and expect the car to slow in reverse and move off forwards.
