2018 RS169 DSG (6 Speed) Tune

Hi guys;

I have an RS169 with 6 speed DSG. Very happy with the car and love the tech/practicality/luxury/power given the cost......however my 1 big gripe is the tune of the DSG. I previoulsy had a Golf Mk7 GTI which I think had the same DSG, I don;t recall it being anywhere near as bad. I expect the tune was done more-so for economy, however I find it so unresponsive it's bordering on dangerous at times. When using sport mode it does liven up, however holds the gears too long. Does anyone offer a fix/change that won't hurt my warranty ?

You could try the dealer to see if they can "update" the software for you , but for all aftermarket DSG tunes your warranty on the gearbox will be voided.

Thanks Sharkie, I did make that assumption. Would you happen to know if there is any piggy back type of device for the DSG, this way I could unplug/remove when required

Hi Sharkie, what do you mean by getting the dealer to "update the software".
