Noob coilover adjustment question

Ok so I have Street-Line coilovers fitted and I want to drop the front just a touch more than the mechanics did.

These aren't the ones (just a similar pic from google)
Am I twisting the collars up (to compress the helper spring) to lower it, or lowering the collars?
Just want to be 100% before jacking it up.

You want to twist down to lower it, as the strut collar will go further up towards top of struts

Please explain that? If the strut is compressed on the street, as you go over a bump, does the alignment change?

If he's only dropping it a cm or two it should be fine. It will get a fraction more camber & a fraction more toe-in.

I dropped my car 35mm at the front and while the toe could come out about 3mm its not worth worrying about.

Yes Gav, it does. Bloody thing is changing all the time. To the point i used to make fat bastards sit in the drivers seat when aligning their rolly-polly cars that matched their rolly-polly bodies.

I also had several bags of concrete that I'd place in the boot or on the floor to simulate vehicle load - mainly for problem cars.
