Thanks for having me back on board after an extended absence. I've got a history of messing around with Subarus but I eventually grew up and got onto the joy that is a modern VW. I've had a MK5 GTI Golf, a V8 Touareg (even the VW dealer didn't know how to pronounce that one) and a Highline Multivan that was the handiest family car I've ever owned.

I've still got a pretty silly Subaru but the family car is an Audi A6 Allroad. I've recently picked up an R36 Passat for a good price that needs some attention. I'm not averse to spinning the spanners but I'm hoping to take advantage of the combined knowledge on this forum to help me through what is an unfamiliar engine configuration.
