    New VR6 Owner

    G'day everyone!

    My name's Max, 21 from Melbourne and just picked up a 1994 MK3 VR6.

The affectionately named "Wheezy" has a few issues so he's gone to live with the mechanic for a little bit but here's a picture to tide you (me) over.

Wheezy is bone stock and done about 250,000KM - will be throwing a set of BC coilovers on as a starting point and going from there! Any recommendations I'd love to hear them

    Cheers!

looks like a pretty tidy example. I miss My VR6, one day I might buy another one... when I can afford a project car.

Welcome to the fold! I'd suggest joining the facebook group "VW GOLF MK3 OWNERS AUSTRALIA" if you havent already done so.

What’s the issue with BC’s ? Not that I’ll be buying any coil overs soon
But have been looking at ones for bora 4motion when $$ permits.

Sorry don’t mean to side track the post, vr6 sound 12v or 24v, is why I can’t sell it New VR6 Owner

Useless, shock lengths are wrong for the spring height.

Even worse in 4mo’s you can’t readily adjust the dampers in the rear. Spend the extra $400 and get KW V2’s.

    Cheers everyone!

Will do a little more research into the BC's - I've heard good things in general but nothing specifically on the MK3, any suggestions would be appreciated!

The car has been very well looked after, previous owner had it for 9 years and was always garaged - the paint colour is Storm Grey (LK7Y) which from a bit of looking appears to be less common! Car will finish up at the mechanic and be roadworthied end of next week - will update with some photos once the cars had a proper cut and polish!

Would also be keen to hit a few car meets and cruises in the next couple of months, any recommendations in / around South East Melbourne?
