    Considering purchasing a Skoda

    Good Afternoon All,

Looking at updating my work car (I am a courier) currently considering a Skoda Octavia 1Z MY12 90TSI Wagon. Seems to have all I want. Have found these forums very useful to my research.

Why did you pay $24990 when the dealers have been them for selling <$20,000? Is the dealer in SA that intractable?

Lowest price I've seen on Carsales website for brand new manual hatch is $19990. Mine is a wagon and auto. Cheapest auto wagon is $22800 in Victoria. I had a trade in , needed a particular colour and then aren't many dealers in SA.

There was a DSG wagon for $18500 on the 17/5. I can't remember the colour. It was a demo with 1800km. I txt'd a friend about it. At that price it wouldn't last long.

As a courier, the buy price probably doesn't make a lot of difference to the total cost of ownership.
