    Chipping my 2006 Passat 2.0Tdi ?

    Hey guys,
New to the forum but have used it a lot before I bought my 2006 Passat 2.0Tdi Wagon yesterday!
Next step is "chipping" the diesel to get some extra performance.
Not even sure if I can mention company names, but i've been looking at a company called "powerchip".
Are they ok? Anyone else who does it properly?
I want more torque and power, but without compromising fuel consumption when I choose to drive conservatively (particularly on the highway).
I live in Sydney in the Manly area.
    Cheers,
    Mark.

Have a look at the Oettinger ECU upgrade. They specialise in Diesel.

well i may not own a 2.0L TDI Passat.
    But i do own a A4 TDI 5spd 130hp.

I had it dyno tuned here in NZ, it now makes a smige over 200hp.
117.9KW @ the wheels to be exact.

If i drive briskly in town i can see it using more gas. But on the open road.
Like 99% of driving in Aus, i noted 100Km minimum increase in fuel consumption.

so now get 1200km's to a tank instead of 1050 -1100km's.

    Town i get around 850 - 950.

as a side note, you will have to be careful in wet condition and the DSG.
as it's just so much damn fun with a chipped TDI.

guys lets not start a chip war in the newbies section (wow i think thats the first time its happened) . As a bit of heads up wilfredski the "chip" discussion is one of the most hotly debated subjects on the forum and usually ends with the thread being closed within hours. if you want info ask the distributers them selves or do a search this subject has been floged. though on a side note welcome to the forum
