What about 4mo bora's? They look good, are they as quick as vr golfs? Pricey though...
hey all,
I'm from Brisbane and was chasing a vr6. I've heard lots of bad things about them, but am prepared to put in the time/money/effort.
I'm also prepared to travel to buy one, as long as it's got a good reputation/history, so thought here would be a good place to start.
How much should I be spending? $6-$8k? Here's a list of things I've made to look out for. Any recommendations of ones for sale from members here?
- Timing chains done
- Windows regs
- Heater core/ac
- ABS
- Full lock to test cv boots
- White under oil cap
- Smoke on startup (exhaust)
- Lights on dash
Thanks

Moreso something to look out for in all 2nd hand cars I've been told.
This is an interesting VR6 in NSW.

If he has the stock lights/bumper/wheels, and if the vents can be ripped off then it could be an option.
There's also one for $5k with 250,000k's on it. Thoughts? Buy it then fix whatever needs doing, would $2k go far? I'd have to check what needs doing.

# chains are fine
# regs are new (execpt one but it will probably be in on the w/e)
# heater core is bypast (from previous owner im gussing it leaks? )
# a/c is fine
# it does have pwr/str but i currently have in dissconected as i prefer driving without it
just remember that its alot of car for 9k, try geting into a honda for that & this is probably one of the best modded examples in the country
(please remember tho if you want a comfy, crusie A to B car this is NOT it, it is very much a drivers car )
