    Wheel Help Needed

Hi Guys, I've never been good with wheels/offsets etc, so wondering if someone could help.

I know 19x8.5 ET45/ET35 is considered the best specs for a Tiguan, but I'm after the 19" Audi Peelers and I've found 2 sets which are forcing me to compromise.

Set 1: OEM legit 19x8.5 ET48. (didn't know they came in ET48, but the seller assures me, they're legit)

    Set 2: Replica 19x8 ET43.

Tyres: Was hoping to go 245's but I want to avoid that muffin top, so probably 235's.

Can anyone advise which would be the best to go for?, or if infact both would be horrendous and to steer clear.

    Thanks!

    Hi mate, I have 19x8 ET 20 replica wheels. With 245 40 19 Potenza's.

They sit nice and flush with the guards if thats the look you're going for, the higher ET's will sit further in the guards like the stock wheels.

    Thanks mate!

Yea, I'm thinking of going the 19x8 ET43. I think stock offset is ET45, but hoping the 8 wide will assist in giving it abit more poke.

Would usually throw on some spacers but I'm not keen putting them on the Tiguan.

Yeah it can be difficult to get the required offset for the tig. 19x8 et 43 will most likely sit about 20mm in from the fenders.
If you haven't already, check out Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit. Gives a good indication of what your new setup will look like.

I had 19x8.5 ET 45 and they sat inside the bodywork: http://www.vwwatercooled.com.au/foru...tml#post526710

I now have 19x8 ET 35 and they sit just inside the body work.

If you want flush you need 8.5 ET35 or 8 ET30

Ahh okay, those 19x8.5 ET45 look good, I'd be happy with that fitment.

Thanks easybarge, I'll take a look at that link now.

Think I might just keep my eye out for some Audi Peelers 19x8.5 ET45.

    Thanks guys!

If you're happy with the look then that would be a good way to run, even on a resale point of view as that sizing is now a very common Golf Mk7 fitment.

The OEM Peelers should look the goods and will be solid as; otherwise I'd say stick to the reputable brands. Yes they cost more but you get what you pay for (mostly).
