2008 VRS Wagon. Yellow, very yellow!
Forever blowing bubbles.
Aren't there legal issues with spacers?

Exactly. Im coming from the WRX scene where pretty much everything has been tried
Your hub has a lip which the wheel is supposed to mate up too, it's designed and engineered to take substantial load - for a performance car like a WRX they're engineered with tolerances in mind
Put a spacer in and who knows what'll happen, it'll work fine day one, but then come around a corner the next day and the hubs crack or the spacer fails... then wheel wobble... into a shop-front window...injure a pedestrian or two... in court... insurance voided... see ya...

I'm still undecided ... you'll have to post up some pics once its so I can see what it looks like .....![]()

Why not just get the right offset from the start? Real Audi ones are usually et35 (hence why reps are popular at et42 -45).
I'd really be checking out the spacer situation in your state.
When your insurance doesn't pay out, they may not seem like such a great idea.
Will you need longer lug bolts if you run 15mm spacers?
Gawd... I'm genuinely sorry for being such a party pooper.
I think they'll look great (I used to own a set on a golf mkv), but not worth futzing with some things if they'll come back and bite you hard.
ooooo touchy. why post on a forum if you dont want feedback?
umm, now i've read this original post, a few time now, and I cant see anwhere that even remotely suggests there is a temporariness about the spacers you have acquired.
my clairvoyance seems to be failing me yet again
I agree that products like H&R et al are good quality, but it doesnt mean our authorities will endorse them, and your insurance company may use any excuse not to pay out.
but hey, thats your choice and risk, regardless of how temporary it may prove to be
