Hello all.

I have just joined this site.

I am from WA and enjoy my new Tuiguan.

Can anyone assist me with the following:

1. Where is the oil filter on the 2013 Tiguan?
2. The best method the dismantle the oil filter assembly?
3. If anyone is using Mobil synthetic, what type are you using?
4. Has anyone got pics of drving lights attached to their Tiguan?

In that case the two 504/507 VW approved for diesel engine Mobil oils are Mobil 1 ESP Formula

and Mobil Super 3000 Formula V Which may be hard to find

You could also use Penrite Enviro + which is available from Supercrap or Autobarn for about $83 for 5 L

I buy mine when they have it on special for about $65

Castrol Edge Professional Longlife III is what the dealers I go to sell and recommend Is $93 for 5L Not sold by shops

A genuine filter is under $30 from a dealer parts dept


As its new stick to Approved oils for warranty sake.

Tdi...lift the engine cover..and in the middle just to the right is the oil filter canister..VDUB...
