    MY09 Manufacture Date

Could someone please advise where I can find out what the manufacture date of my MY09 Tiguan is please?

According to RACQ Insurance, there is a different premium between the MY09 pre Sept 09 manufacture date and MY09 post Sept 09 manufacture? Seems rather odd to me?

You could try looking at the sticker under the boot floor. There's a lot of info there - can't remember if that's on there or not but has all the manufacturing data/model codes/factory options, etc. From memory you have to take the spare wheel out and remove the foam insert to look at it. Best to take a photo in case you want to refer to it later....

Cheers Tigger. Sounds like a right pain in the ar2e to get to it!!! Why don't they have it on the engine plate like most other vehicle manufacturers?

Same with most models We have a Polo and on the Contract there is an entry for Build Date and Compliance date.

So if you still have the purchase papers it possibly will be on there.

We had same problem with insurance as they said a 2010 build Polo is more expensive to insure than a 2011.

Dont see why same thing really Maybe more DSG problems with the earlier one???????

The Build date is on the B Pillar sticker on both my Polo and the Passat

According to Redbook the MY10 model was released in October 2009 and the DSG transmissions came out after that in 2010.

Sounds like the insurance company is just picky on the model year.

But what's this got to do with insurance? It's not like insurance will cover your broken DSG?

Anyway, thanks for the advice on finding the location, greatly appreciated.
