I was wondering if had any experience with the Intake Manifold Flap Changeover. It is the assembly at item 4 in the attached diagram.
Where this connects to the shaft on the intake manifold (the actual shaft at the bottom of the actuator rod) had pushed out from the intake manifold and allowed an air leak. This caused a very rough idle.
I was able to re-seat the cover (connector) to the Intake Manifold Flap Changeover (a good firm push with a finger) and this has corrected the problem for now - however has anybody seen this happen before?
It is as if there has been end float in the manifold flap butterfly assembly that has dislodged the actuator from the intake manifold than now allows an air leak at the seal of the intake manifold to actuator rod point.
