new tyres make for new car

so after buying the tiguan in may ive been saving to buy tyres , today i replaced the tyres with 215/65/16 bridgestone dueller all terrains d697 . this has given my ride height back to normal and the car drives sweet and nice now . going to test its offroad handling and attitude on the weekend will post pics later . yes this tiguan does go off road ..

they had thre different tyres on it , one was a hankook apt , the other a goodyear and two where cheap maxxis
the new ones are no noisier then the tyres that were on it

You have to give the previous owners a B+ for their attempt to use as many brands of tyre possible on a single car.

yeah it was a country car from orange so maybe they dont get to choose what is put on

I went with the Pirelli Scorpions this time. Very happy so far - quiet, tough and handle well. Maybe not as good in wet as Yokohama S-drives I had on Forester turbo, but can't get those for Tig.

Forgot to add the Scorpions, despite being a mainly tar tyre went well on trip from Nundle to Ellerston via back road. A trip I probably shouldn't have attempted in Tig. But took it very slow and cautious thru bad sections. They do clog with mud fairly fast but clean themselves in better sections quickly. Tigs can go a fair bit further than some people expect.....if you are careful.

I've put on Cooper CS5 on my wife's Tig, just last week. Under $200 per tyre, very quiet and good handling so far. They aren't very off road orientated tyres but should last +60,000km and that's what I was after. They have nice 9.5mm deep tread.
