    RCD510 to MIB2.5

I have a 2013 Tiguan with RCD510, does anyone know if I can swap it for MIB2.5 with the touch screen? Ive been searching everywhere but there doesn't seem to be any posts on it.

I believe it's possible to go to the MIB2, but not the 2.5.

From what I can see though, pricing on the MIB2 (or if it's even possible the 2.5) is waaaaay higher than the RCD330+/340/360 Pro at about $500 or so depending on where you get it.

    Some examples:
    VW 6.5" Original MIB RCD330 Plus CarPlay Stereo 6RD 035 187 B - Version B
VW 6.5" RCD330 Plus 6RD035187B (No Name) Radio for VW Golf MK5 MK6 Scirocco R Tiguan Passat Polo Caddy

    Or AliExpress if you're game:
Android Auto RCD360 PRO NONAME Radio Carplay New RCD330 MIB Radio For VW Golf 5 6 Jetta MK5 MK6 Tiguan CC Polo Passat 6RD035187B|Car Radios| - AliExpress

Save yourself the hassle and cost, and just go with the tried and tested RCD330.

OP has asked about the PQ MIB specifically.
Yes the RCD330 and it's imitators are an option at the lower end of the scale (both price and performance/features)
You want to look at 'Discover Media PQ' for the unit with native navigation, or 'Composition Media PQ' for the one without. Both have Carplay/Android Auto as well as full factory integration into all the various systems.

Thanks for the information. The reason I was asking about MIB2.5 is you can buy them for the same price as RCD330 and they are genuine VW parts, I've seen them go for $270, the RCD330 seem to be Chinese, so not sure it will be the same quality. Here's an example of one for $350

Not even close to the same thing.
That's a screen only from an MQB MIB unit.
The actual head unit is in the glovebox.
You can't install one of these (even if you had both the screen and the actual head unit) in a Pq platform car.
