Dont know about yours but my Tomtom can have a map on an SD card as an extra but in the menus you have to tell it which one to use. Maybe yours is the same
Sorry, but you'll see this isn't a purist's post.
About 18 months back I purchased an 8” Chinese Head Unit for my T5. It is an Xtrons Model PF82MTVA, Mstar cedric3. I upgraded it to Android 4.4.4 and it works pretty well and . The device had iGo installed on it but did not have Australian maps, only European ones. The manufacturer was not very helpful re maps but the reseller set me up with a newer version of iGo with Australian and NZ maps.
The problem is, it doesn’t seem to matter whether I install the app on the external card on internally, when I run iGo, it still only accesses the original version – with European maps.
I am wondering whether anyone on the forum has a similar device, has faced the issue and has suggestions please. (I had spent a lot of time on fixmygps without any progress, but now it seems to have disappeared.)
Any help out there please?
Thanks in advance folks.

As above you need to tell you head unit where the igo start file is. Usually you would need to go into settings to do so.
As it's an Android unit you may need to uninstall you original eu copy and then install you Au copy. Or you could just over ride you eu contents folder with the Au one. The contents folder should contain the maps and various folders too.

Thanks Folks.
I'm not as familiar with Android as Windows and may well be missing something simple like placing maps in right folders, though I have tried.
I have actually tried to uninstall iGo (held my breath) but that didn't seem to work.
Hillbilly, I'll see if I can point to another folder, but suspect I can't.
I'll try and get further into what android is doing . . difficult in the sun in Bris - and I have twice flattened my T5's battery sitting doing it at night - as some lights have to be on when ignition is on.
Thanks for the comments guys.
