Question Has anyone used Liqui Moly Diesel purge?

It does say to remove your fuel lines and run it through the can for best results, but can I just add the whole can into my tank of fuel? I know it won't be as effective or is this is bad idea?

(tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything)

Edit; My DPF is fine and I can read soot levels when I connect my laptop to the ECU so all this is just preventative stuff after buying it from another person.

To answer my own thread. Waited till fuel showed around 5L left. Dropped the whole can in the tank and cycled through the rev ranges while driving using a low gear, high gear, almost flooring it and cruising.

The pinging I used to have while accelerating is gone (injectors?) and not sure if placebo but it feels smoother. Car also did a DPF regen when I got home which is unusual for a 10 minute drive.

Anyway, I'm satisfied with the price/result ratio, but your mileage may vary.

This was on a 2011 diesel with 40,000 km on the odometer. Only had normal dealer maintenance by the previous owner.

Thanks for the update. Will do same to our 80,000klm 2009 tomorrow. If anyone has any objections, speak now or forever send me new pieces.

hmm, so the diesel chatter is back. I did do an oil change not long ago too. Economy has for the first time dropped below 7L/100km so that's positive.
