I've made a decision.
Because the Tiguan doesn't have DSG, I've decided to purchase a Skoda Octavia Elegance (2.0TDI with DSG). My car has to be my car as well as the family's main vehicle so I hope I've made the right choice.
Should have it by the end of the week. Hope I don't regret this...
I got a quote for Tiguan and Golf TSI, and noticed that the Tiguan does not attract a "Fleet discount" (for novated lease).
When asked, the salesman replied "...Unfortunately there is no fleet discount for the Tiguan YET!! (Due to the lack of stock available at present). This may change by the time the petrol models land but no guarantees., fingers crossed."
has anyone had any similar experience? :(

Yes, I got a quote and a provisional booking on a Silver TDI manual with the comfort package and fog lights for delivery in June. It includes $3177 dealer delivery and no discount for leasing.
Most of the 1st batch have been presold and the next batch will be ready for delivery 18 weeks later. If you don't preorder then you're not likely to get a car untill the end of the year. If you want anything specific you will only make it into the 2nd batch as the 1st batch have all be pre-ordered and you have to take the closest they to what you want.
VW on the Sunshine Coast has about 4 still left from their 1st allocation.
Also it is provisional on you seeing the car and actually liking it. For me the rear cargo space will be the decider.....
Haven't you seen one in the flesh? There isn't much cargo space - if you intend to use the back seats at the same time.Quote:

Unfortunately in QLD we have not seen any yet.
I remember MRX that the space was an issue for you..... My wife has a RAV4 Mk2 atm and we quite like the big space (and deep) and might decide to keep it for a while longer if the Tiguan will not do ......
Don;t forget the Skoda Octavia "Scout" is coming - 4wd with 15-20mm of extra ground clearance and the 103kw diesel with DSG. Could be an alternative.
Ahh but the Audi Q5 is also coming later this year ........

Also the RAV4 and the Outlander are also possibly coming in TDI before the end of the year. (maybe even the CRV) They are all available in diesels in other world markets..... All you is 1 or 2 manufacturers to start the ball rolling and we have Suzuki and VW in the small SUV diesel space now already ..... its just a matter of time.....:rolleyes:
and with the absolutely troublefree experience of the RAV4 might be swayed towards another Toyota for the family......
don;t forget the x trail as well...
Hey all. I've just joined the forums at long last! Work has had this site blocked deeming it non-work related so I've not had the presence here I'd like to have but I'm here now. :)

Tiguan is a weird one at the moment. I'll relay what I can but please be aware that there is some information that even I don't know or if I do, can't pass on. I'll be as open as possible though :)
