Spotted @ 3:57 Monday. A Black MK5 Golf GT TDI going along Thompson's Rd leaving Berwick.
This is my car and again someone collided with us. Apparently I was in his blind spot. A work van, he did not see me and came across 2 lanes hitting me at speed. Almost pushing us into a pole alongside the footpath. To avoid this we pushed back, landing him near the medium strip. He admitted he did not see me and was his fault.
But the whole side of my car is Fu#%ed. Front wheel has chunks of alloy missing, etc. Obviously this will be an insurance job. But I am wondering how many people with small cars (VW or others) get cut off in traffic. Particular those with dark colored cars. My car had been hit before and repaired. Always the other persons fault, usually/technically breaking basic road rules but always not seeing me?
Last time I was considering selling and this time, more so. I am thinking of a light colored car or something that stands out more. But the VW DIESELGATE SCANDALS has devalued the Diesel VW's resale value? For those who can compare. Who thinks smaller and dark colored cars are more likely to be involved in incidents such as this ??? or is it just my luck ?
You just have to drive for everyone else around you unfortunately. I've lost count of the amount of times I've avoided crashes just from paying attention to other idiots, reading their behaviour and taking evasive action.
It doesn't pay to be involved in accidents but still be "in the right".
