So I need a new ECU. I've had a quick look on eBay, and not sure which to buy?
Any assistance would be appreciated: mk2 golf gti ecu | eBay
Windscreen got replaced today! One more step closer to a roadworthy! Now just waiting for a few engine things to get fixed by Jmac :D

Swapped over the ECU today and cleaned up a few other things.
Car now starts straight away, idles nicely, and revs cleanly to 6,000rpm. VERY HAPPY!

Looking for a battery now, what can you guys recommend? And where can I buy it online.
Thanks
Would this suit?
Buddy Club Racing Spec Battery
Otherwise I might just go down to Battery World with my 10% off card :)
I'm using a century DIN53LMF, 500CCA (aim for 400 CCA or higher) and its great.
It did require a tiny bit of modding to the battery clamp.
If you've got time, upgrade your battery cabling while your at it (I thinks battery world can make cables for you too?)
:)
If you plan to use the stock MK2 battery clamp set-up, I don't believe that battery in the link would work because there is no 'ridge' at the base of the battery to clamp onto. Unless you'll be using an aftermarket set-up.
