    Rebuilding Hydraulic tappets

I know it's from another forum but this is really useful and I'm sure I'll need to do this myself sometime soon. I remember I asked vw for the price of tappets for my 16v about a year ago and they wanted 85 dollars each...........imagine that x16...... Now I can have the same effect with the cost of some new gaskets(which I would have needed anyway) and and some carby cleaner.

    Great step by step guide.

Mind you i would never buy these here at $85 each ..

think i seen em at about $9 US which is getting better..
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

Nice find Ausgolfer. Adds to the knowledgebase.

Better than buying new ones at the $22 I can get em for in Sydders.
