    Red face Transmission issue Cordoba 95' GLX Auto

    Hi Everyone,

    Just few days ago while driving, my car couldn’t make up its mind whether to stay in 3rd gear or top gear…and now whenever I start it and put it to drive ‘D’, it will pick up on 3rd gear and will stay on it all the time, and won’t select appropriate gear automatically. I’ve to put it to 1st gear manually when there is high gradient or when power is required. Any ideas any one; why this is happening and how it could be fixed?

    Update: I showed it to my mechanic & he reckons it could be a transmission wiring. he couldn't give me exact reason...but said something about loom. Just wondering...if anyone knows what he meant...and that what is the cost to fix it.
