Back when I had the 225 I had a lot more disposable income for mods but these days I have to be more sensible although the base is a lot better - at least in a straight line.

I’ll be living vicariously through you and your build thread.

I just received a boost to my disposable income hence the new build project.

Yes I certainly agree that the Golf R is a step up in terms of quality, refinement, and straight line performance. Add some corners into the mix and the Meg starts to claw back some territory.

It will be my pleasure. Hopefully I can keep the updates coming. I just received word my Wagner IC is scheduled for delivery later today

I had a bit of spare time so I fitted a couple of the easy items.

My Wagner intercooler and CTS Turbo throttle piping install happened today. Plus a trial fit of the carbon rear diffuser.

Then we did a full service, including DSG.

And more goodies were waiting for me when I arrived home. Scirocco R build-20190813_153340-jpgScirocco R build-20190813_092337-jpg

Oh and I've ended up with a brand new spare/surplus to requirements GFB DV+, so if anyone is looking to buy one let me know.

Yes the Wagner IC is one of the larger TFSI options available. Bang for buck and quality they are hard to beat. I paid $1,337 delivered.

The catch can kit is currently undergoing modification as the lines fouled on the engine cover.
The Flow Designs side skirts are now fitted.

I am still waiting on the KW DCCs, Milltek cat-back APR LPFP, H&R S/Bs, Dectane LED tails, TTE420 and a bunch of OSIR carbon bits.

We finally finished installing the Flow Designs side skirts and carbon diffuser.

I also ordered the ECS Tuning carbon battery cover and fuse box cover. And the OSIR carbon coolant tank cover arrived this afternoon, along with the Dectane Litec tail lights.

The next delivery has arrived. And it's a key component of the build!
