One thing that seems to be skipped over through this thread is the term 'GREY', all cars not imported by the manufacturer are grey imports, as a trade, valuers will be aware of the release date, see an earlier compliance, and then drop 10k as a trade, no, the VGA cars will not be $68k and no there is no long option list(i have the brochure) there are really only 3 options, I will post this afternoon after work to let you know what they are, but expect pricing between GTi 5dr and Golf R 5dr
Options are (not a long list) Sun roof, Dynaudio and sat nav.
You seem to know everything.. These Scirocco R's are brand new and are covered by a 2 year international factory warranty, plus 1 year good will.
I also know what the official pricing is going to be.. Let's just wait and see.
No need to be a clown..
AUSTRALIAN Scirocco pricing is
Manual $47,490
DSG $49,990
Just announced today. Plus on roads.
Well... no more waiting now.
As has been mentioned:
Manual $47,490
DSG $49,990
Dynaudio $1100
Panoramic Roof $1800
Sat Nav $2500.
Anyway... in NSW for the "average driver", and no options, this means the drive away price is:
$52,984 manual
$55,609 DSG
(calculated on $2,995 dealer delivery, private rego, privately owned, no finance, a 40 y/o driver with no offenses and max no claim, sydney 2000 post code, standard $92 black on white slim-line plates)
Even with all the options, and Euro plates:
$58,962 fully-optioned manual (No LCT btw)
$61,877 fully-optioned DSG ($275.70 of LCT)
So time did tell in the end.
These are reasonable prices, well done VW.
